Item Care

The porcelain that I use is Southern Ice porcelain. It is quarried and refined in Victoria and highly sought after all around the world for its high purity and translucent white properties and best porcelain body.

Properties associated with porcelain include low permeability and elasticity, considerable strength, hardness, toughness, whiteness and translucency.

The toughness, strength, and translucence of porcelain arise mainly from the formation of glass and the mineral mullite within the fired body at these high temperatures.

Porcelain is a watertight material and even when unglazed home-wares such as cups, plates or vases can still hold water with out leaking.

Unglazed porcelain can attract dirt on the surface after wear against the skin.

To clean simply softly wash under warm water, use a mild soap if needed and then dry.
